A nor'easter snowstorm expected to primarily affect four counties in northern New Jersey and drop more than a foot of snow in some spots will crank up overnight into Tuesday, forecasters say. The National Weather Service says wintry precipitation will begin at around 3 a.m. in Sussex County before spreading south and east over the next several hours and reaching Central Jersey by about 7 a.m. Snow will fall at a rate of up to an inch of an hour with 12 to 18 inches expected in Sussex, about a foot in western Passaic and 6 to 8 inches in Morris and Warren counties, the weather service said.
